Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet

The Chamber appreciates it locals and our businesses. We recognize those that provide professional and courteous service to the community and exhibits initiative in enhancing their business and the community.  We also recognize citizens and volunteers that have shown great compassion and service to their community.

As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, you are eligible to vote for your favorite business or citizen.  Ballots will be mailed to members in December-January.

You are also invited to decorate a table, featuring your business logo for free during the event.

2014 Watonga Business of the Year:  Apple Market
Apple Market has provided valuable, professional and courteous service to the community and exhibited imitative in enhancing its business and the community.  Apple Market has maintained the momentum from the 2013 remodeling and continues to improve product selection and has provided excellent customer service.

2014 Watonga New Business of the Year:  Big Bobbins
Big Bobbins has provided valuable, professional and courteous service to the community.  Big Bobbins is an excellent place for youth to learn, great shop and has provided a service solely needed by our community.

2014 Watonga Citizen of the Year:   Mary Lee Jones
Ms. Jones has demonstrated excellence in her business and profession, and have provided valuable service to her business and our community, and has exhibited initiative in enhancing her business.  Ms. Jones is a wonderful leader in our community, and is willing to step-up and complete necessary tasks.

2014 Business Beautification of the Year :  Ye Olde Laundromatte
Ms. Bradford’s enhancement and investment in her business has brought beauty and service to the community of Watonga.  Ye Olde Laundromatte’s improvements on a run-down building have changed an eyesore into something pretty. Ms. Bradford has shown pride in her business and provided a wonderful service to her customers.

2014 Watonga Volunteer of the Year:   Anita Woodruff
Anita has shown dedication and outstanding service into Watonga.   Anita puts a lot of her heart into this community.  Very few people realize the time or money she puts into this community because what she does is done way behind the scenes and she is one who left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.  I knew that only she and the vet know how many cats she has rescued and had spayed or neutered to help control the town cat population.  If only all of us were that responsible for our animals.

Lifetime Achievement Award:   Leroy Lage
