We stand by our community.

Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet

The Chamber appreciates it locals and our businesses. We recognize those that provide professional and courteous service to the community and exhibits initiative in enhancing their business and the community.  We also recognize citizens and volunteers that have shown great compassion and service to their community.

As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, you are eligible to vote for your favorite business or citizen.  Ballots will be mailed to members in December-January.

You are also invited to decorate a table, featuring your business logo for free during the event.

2017 Watonga Business of the Year:  Mercy Hospital
Mercy Hospital has provided valuable, professional and courteous health care to our community and exhibited imitative in enhancing its business and health care to our citizens and surrounding communities.  Mercy has maintained the momentum from the 2016 remodel and continues to improve care and provides excellent customer service with care.

2017 Watonga New Business of the Year:  TGC
TGC provides a valuable, professional and courteous booth shopping service to the community.  TGC is an excellent place for gift shopping, and a great sandwich shop.   This new business provides services needed for our community.

2017 Watonga Citizen of the Year:   Watonga High School Superintendent, Bill Seitter
Mr. Seitter has demonstrated excellence in his career and citizenship, and he has provided valuable service to our community.   He has exhibited initiative in enhancing our schools and developing business opportunities in our area.  Mr. Seitter is a wonderful leader in our community, and is willing to step-up and complete necessary tasks.

2017 Business Beautification of the Year :  Damon Jones Construction
Damon’s enhancement and investment in his business has brought beauty and service to the community of Watonga.  The improvements have changed an entire block. Mr. Jone’s has shown pride in his business and provided a wonderful service to his customers.

2017 Watonga Volunteer of the Year:   Ms. Sandy Brown
Sandy has shown dedication and outstanding service to our Watonga community.   Sandy puts a lot of her heart into this community.  Very few people realize the time or money she puts into this community because what she does is done way behind the scenes and she is one who left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.   Sandy is a valued asset to our community.
